CE Marking of Structural Steelwork

The harmonised European standard that applies to structural steelwork is IS EN 1090-1. It will be an offence to supply structural steelwork after the 1st of July 2014 unless it conforms to this standard and carries a legitimate CE mark.

CE Marking is regulated by criminal law and the penalties for not CE Marking or incorrect CE Marking, if found guilty, are a fine, imprisonment or both.

If you require any further information on how to comply with this standard please call EIS on (01) 861 2011.

Weld Procedure Approval

Draft design, supervise and approve procedures for all welding techniques and processes.

A Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) is a formal written document describing welding procedures, which provides direction to the welder or welding operators for making sound and quality production welds as per the code requirements . The purpose of the document is to guide welders to the accepted procedures so that repeatable and trusted welding techniques are used.

Welder Qualification Certification

Testing Welders and Procedures to requirements of ASME IX and EN ISO 15609 formally EN15614-1 and EN ISO 15614 Pt 1 & 2 EN9606-1 2013 in all manual and semi automatic and automatic weld processes.

Welder certification, (also known as welder qualification) is a process which examines and documents a welders capability to create welds of acceptable quality following a well defined welding procedure.
